Executive Session of the Board of Trustees
May 19, 2016

I. Call to Order
Chairman Brian McBride called the meeting to order at 5:11 p.m.
II. Chairman McBride stated that the Board will enter into Executive Session pursuant to Idaho Code Section 74-
206(1)(b)To consider the evaluation, dismissal or disciplining of, or to hear complaints or charges brought
against, a public officer, employee, staff member or individual agent, or public school student; Idaho Code
Section 74-206(1)(c) To acquire an interest in real property which is not owned by a public agency. The
Executive Session will be closed to the public as permitted by law.
MOTION: Paul Jenkins made the motion to enter into executive session for the reason stated. Jeff Bird
seconded. The roll call vote was:

IV. Items for Discussion
A. Personnel Items - Dr. N, Shalene French
Chairman McBride invited Dr. French to discuss personnel items. Dr. French informed the Board that
employee E2016 has retired and employee F2016 has resigned and she recommended these two employees
be removed from probation.
B. Land Discussion - John Pymm
Chairman McBride invited Mr. Pymm to discuss land options. Mr. Pymm stated the property of interest the
District is considering purchasing appraised for $17,000 per acre. He also discussed purchasing two
modular classrooms to be placed at Discovery Elementary, stating it is better to purchase than to lease them.
The price for the modulars has not been set yet.
V. Move Back Into Open Meetina
Chairman McBride asked for a motion to move back into open session.
MOTION: Jeff Bird made the motion to move back into open session. Greg Calder seconded. The vote was 4 in
favor with 0 opposed and 0 abstentions. Motion was carried,
VI. Motions from Executive Session
Chairman McBride asked for any motions from Executive Session,
A, Employee E2016 Discipline
MOTION: Paul Jenkins made the motion to remove employee E2016 from probation. Jeff Bird seconded.
The vote was 4 in favor with 0 opposed and 0 abstentions. Motion was carried.

B. Employee F2016 Discipline
MOTION: Paul Jenkins made the motion to remove employee F2016 from probation. Jeff Bird seconded.
The vote was 4 in favor with 0 opposed and 0 abstentions. Motion was carried.
C. Land Acquisition
There was not any motion made pertaining to land acquisition.
D. Sale of Property
There was not any motion made pertaining to sale of property.
VII. Adiournment
Chairman McBride asked for a motion to adjourn at 6:29 p.m.
MOTION: Greg Calder made the motion to adjourn. Paul Jenkins seconded. The vote was 4 in favor with 0
opposed and 0 abstentions. Motion was carried.
