I. Chairman Dance called the meeting to order at 6:05 p.m.
II. Roll Call was
Paul Jenkins present (via telecommunications)
Carissa Coats present
Randy Smith present
Chad Dance present
III. Opening Board Business
A. Approve/Amend Agenda (Action Item)
Chairman Dance asked for a motion to approve the agenda.
Motion: Randy Smith moved to approve the agenda. Carissa Coats seconded. Motion carried.
IV. Discussion Items
A. Zone 1 Trustee Appointment Interviews
There were 5 applicants for the Zone 1 Trustee appointment. The Board interviewed three of the candidates, Mindy
Clayton, Katie Fritz, and Kenneth Payne. The remaining two candidates are scheduled to interview on May 10, 2023.
The Board interviewed each candidate for twenty minutes. Each candidate was asked to introduce themselves and to
explain why they applied, and how they will an asset on the Board. Some of the questions that were asked were:
• What value will you bring to the Board and to the district?
• How well do you take criticism or conflict?
• How are you going to handle confidential information?
• This is a huge time commitment, are you ready to commit to being a Board member?
• What current challenges do you thing the district is facing today?
V. Closing Board Business
After the interviews the Chairman Dance asked for a motion to adjourn.
A. Adjournment (Action Item)
Motion: Randy Smith moved to ajourn the meeting. Paul Jenkins seconded. Motion carried.
