BoardmemberHormanannouncesthatshe receivedinformationbyemailwithconcernsonthe$125.00 increase statingthatshewillforwardthemontotheBoardproposing $100.00 forhighschoolsportsandhighschoolcheer thisdoesnotincludemiddleschool sports. ChairmanLords –the Board is interestedintakingfeesuggestions,creativity,andencourages staffand communitytohelp.Wewillcontinuetotaskyourstaff.Thiswillbeanitemoneachworksession agenda to discusspotentialcuts/savingssowedon’tcomeupshortagain.ChairmanLordstasksthe Superintendenttowork withtheSDE,ISBA,andIASA togetourclassroomsback. 7.TestingUpdate –presentationhasbeentabledforalaterdate. 8.eCenterandHighSchoolNovaNetReport –SuperintendentShackett,needtoexpandtheNovaNet programinto thehighschoolstohelpifastudentisfailing toearnthatcredit.Inordertohavetheopportunityweneedto purchase50 morelicensestotaling$134,831that fitsintothesurplusmoneyfromthebond.NovaNetalsocomes withACTpreparationprogramswhichcanbe offeredata zero orninthhour.Theremaybeacostinpurchasing thehardwareupgradetothehighschoolsandadditionalcomputers.HHSjustneedstheupgrade,butBHSwill needadditionalcomputers.
